How we met

Niyi and I met on the phone I guess. My dad was having his 65th birthday party and I was on the RSVP list with my number. Niyi's dad and my dad have known each other since way back as they are both from the same hometown and basically grew up together. Niyi's dad was sent an invite and later came to the party. Two day after the party Niyi called me and told me that his dad gave him my number and he asked if he could stalk me on Facebook (for real). I gave him my Facebook name and days later we started talking and about 2 weeks after we started talking he came from Montana where he is currently schooling to visit me. And that's it!

Proposal

We've been dating for a while and he came to visit me in August 2013. Prior to his visit, he had made his intentions known to my parents and when he came, we went out, even went to the jewelry store. I kinda knew but didn't want to be too forward. When he was about to leave he decided that we should take a trip somewhere local and just get away from others. I just thought we needed a break. We went to a Bed&Breakfast in Taneytown, MD. August 22,2013 we had made reservation for dinner that evening and as I was getting ready for the dinner, when he got down on both knees and asked if I would marry him. He said other things but I didn't really hear as I ran away once I knew what he was about to do and of course I said YES.
